A meeting was held at Uzeltechsanoat Association with the participation of representatives from prominent Chinese energy companies, including China Electrical Equipment, China Huadian Overseas Investment, and Poly Changda.
According to the Association, representatives from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy and leading domestic cable manufacturing enterprises also participated in the meeting, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
Both sides emphasized that the cooperation will contribute to increasing the capacity for renewable energy use, developing the national energy system, and further deepening private and international partnerships.
The parties discussed cooperation within the framework of a 500 MW solar power plant project planned for construction in Farish district of Jizzakh region, as well as future initiatives in alternative energy. Discussions included the potential supply of cable products through partnerships with local manufacturers, localization of technologies, and the efficient organization of logistics processes.
The sides exchanged views on the need to broadly utilize domestically produced industrial goods in Uzbekistan’s major energy projects, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation and establishing long-term partnerships.
