Georgia Eyes Stronger Bilateral and Regional Partnerships with US Business Mission

Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, has met with representatives of a US business mission organized by the US Department of Commerce to discuss prospects for strengthening bilateral and regional cooperation.

During the meeting, Kvrivishvili underscored the significance of Georgia’s strategic partnership with the US and stressed the country’s interest in revitalizing ties and enhancing active collaboration, The Caspian Post reports via the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

She highlighted key infrastructure projects, including the East-West highway construction, railway modernization, and port infrastructure upgrades, all designed to bolster Georgia’s role as a regional transit hub and improve the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor.

The minister also noted that the US business delegation had previously visited Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan to assess opportunities in trade, energy, infrastructure, and logistics, signaling growing interest in regional investment.

The visit was conducted under the framework of cooperation among the US Department of Commerce, the America-Georgia Business Council (AGBC), the US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), and the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan.
