Kakha Kaladze, the candidate from the ruling Georgian Dream party, has been re-elected as Mayor of Tbilisi after securing a commanding 71.29 per cent of the vote in the municipal elections.
The race featured a total of nine candidates competing for the mayoral seat. Irakli Kupradze, representing the united opposition parties Lelo and For Georgia, came in second with 12.52 per cent of the vote, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
Kaladze has served as mayor since 2017.
