Kazakh Greco-Roman wrestlers Dias Kaltay and Yerzat Yerlanov secured bronze medals at the Wladyslaw Pytlasinski Memorial tournament, held as part of the Poland Open.
Kaltay placed third in the 72 kg weight category, while Yerlanov earned bronze in the 97 kg division, underscoring Kazakhstan’s consistent presence on the international wrestling stage, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
The Wladyslaw Pytlasinski Memorial is one of the sport’s most respected events, attracting elite Greco-Roman athletes from across the globe. Kazakhstan is fielding competitors in both Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle disciplines at this high-level tournament.
In parallel, rising Kazakh star Zhanazhol Kuanyshbek captured gold at the UWW U17 World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships, currently underway in Greece, continuing the nation’s strong momentum in wrestling.
