Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev has said that Kazakhstan and Israel are discussing the organization of a potential visit by Israeli President Isaac Herzog to Astana.
Kosherbayev made these remarks at a press conference following talks with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The Kazakh foreign minister noted that Saar’s visit to Astana underscores the mutual interest of both sides in further strengthening Kazakhstan-Israel relations. He noted that the two countries maintain stable trade and economic ties, alongside active cooperation in science, education, innovation, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges rooted in shared values.
Kosherbayev stressed that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev places particular importance on a systematic and substantive political dialogue with Israel’s leadership, which he said plays a key role in advancing multifaceted cooperation between the two states.
He also highlighted that the talks with Gideon Saar were held in an atmosphere of traditional friendship and mutual trust. Special attention during the meeting was given to boosting bilateral trade volumes and expanding investment cooperation.
