Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with rector of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), praising the institute’s global reputation for producing elite international relations specialists.
President Tokayev welcomed the launch of its branch campus at Gumilyov Eurasian National University, where the first 100 students have already started classes, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The Kazakh leader expressed confidence that closer collaboration between the academic communities of Kazakhstan and Russia will further strengthen bilateral relations. Earlier, Tokayev also discussed cooperation prospects with Queen’s University Belfast President Ian Greer, signaling Kazakhstan’s growing focus on international academic partnerships.
