Mongolia, Kazakhstan Commit to Deepening Legislative Partnerships

Mongolia and Kazakhstan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, aiming to enhance legislative collaboration and foster closer ties between the two nations.

The Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament is currently taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.

On the sidelines of the conference, Amarbaysgalan Dashzegve, Chairman of Mongolia’s State Great Khural, met with Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

Chairman Amarbaysgalan highlighted the deep historical, cultural, and traditional ties between the two countries and emphasized the significance of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s 2024 state visit to Mongolia, which elevated bilateral relations to a strategic partnership.

He expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation in animal husbandry, agriculture, and light industry, focusing on joint projects that leverage their shared expertise in processing wool, cashmere, leather, and hides.

Koshanov shared his views on enhancing Mongolia-Kazakhstan cooperation at both regional and international levels.

Both parties agreed to further deepen and expand inter-parliamentary collaboration in the future.
