Nooruddin Azizi, the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan, held a productive meeting with Turdakun Sydykov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to Kabul.
The discussion centered around the upcoming visit of a high-ranking delegation from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to participate in Kyrgyzstan’s Economic Forum, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce reported that the two officials delved into various topics, including bilateral meetings with Kyrgyz officials and discussions with representatives from other nations attending the forum. A key focus was the establishment of a joint working group aimed at fostering trade growth and improving transit routes between the two countries.
Additionally, they explored economic and trade opportunities not only between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan but also involving other regional countries. The meeting highlighted the importance of signing trade, transit, and investment agreements, mainly a trilateral agreement between Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. They also touched on the ongoing initiatives related to the Kyrgyzstan-Afghanistan-Kyrgyz road project.
Ambassador Sydykov expressed the Ministry of Commerce and Economy of Kyrgyzstan’s eagerness to collaborate with Afghanistan, underscoring the potential for strengthened economic ties between the two countries.
