China’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Liu Jiangping, has announced that bilateral trade between China and Kyrgyzstan reached a historic high of $27.2 billion.
The ambassador noted that Kyrgyzstan currently ranks as China’s second-largest trading partner in Central Asia, with bilateral trade accounting for roughly one quarter of China’s total trade with the region, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
In 2025, mutual trade grew by 20 per cent year-on-year, while imports from Kyrgyzstan surged by 86 per cent, underscoring rapidly deepening economic ties.
Liu Jiangping noted that from this new historical milestone, China is ready to further advance cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian states. He highlighted plans to strengthen alignment between China’s Fifteenth Five-Year Plan and partner countries’ national development strategies, consistently promote the China-Central Asia Spirit, and implement practical outcomes agreed at high-level summits within this format.
Separately, the ambassador pointed out that Kyrgyzstan’s mutual trade with countries of the Eurasian Economic Union increased by 1.3 per cent, indicating broader growth in the country’s external trade relations.
