Kyrgyz Man’s Heartfelt Initiative Offers Home of Friendship and Support for Seniors

Following the recent passing of his wife, Kyrgyz man Jenishbek Isakunov is transforming his grief into a visionary project-a communal home where elderly people can live together in support, companionship, and meaningful engagement.

Located on his farm along the shores of Issyk-Kul, surrounded by fruit trees and fresh air, the initiative offers a welcoming space for lonely retirees, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

More than just temporary housing, Isakunov envisions it as a boarding-style community where seniors can socialize, care for one another, and spend time in ways that benefit both their health and wellbeing.

“Old age should not be lonely,” Isakunov emphasizes. “I want people here to live in communication, support each other, and enjoy meaningful activities.”
