Kyrgyz schoolboy Matvey Nizovsky has earned a bronze medal at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), held recently in China.
Nizovsky, a student at the Maarif Educational Complex in Bishkek, represented Kyrgyzstan among a competitive field of 300 participants from 61 countries, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Competitors faced rigorous challenges in machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
Kyrgyzstan’s team, comprising Matvey Nizovsky, Semyon Boguslavsky, Akniet Kenzhegulov, and Iskhak Tajibaev, scored a total of 537 points, securing 45th place out of 73 teams.
Team selection was based on results from the final round of the Northern Eurasia OAI 2025, highlighting the region’s growing strength in artificial intelligence and related technologies.
