Kyrgyzstan and China Boost Cooperation in Transport Infrastructure and Investment

A meeting was held at the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic with a delegation from the People's Republic of China.

The Chinese side presented a consortium of four transport companies, including designers, contractors, digitalization and investment specialists, The Caspian Post reports citing Kyrgyz media.

The meeting was of an introductory nature.

As an example of the successful development of transport interchanges and railway lines, the Chinese side demonstrated the experience of the city of Hangzhou, which is a model of an effective transport hub.

The prospects for cooperation in the construction of a railway line and monorails in Bishkek were discussed. The capital's municipality expressed its readiness to continue the dialogue on the implementation of these projects.

The meeting was an important step in strengthening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China in the field of transport infrastructure and investments, the report said.
