Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia, India Unite to Tackle Regional Security Challenges

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has convened a high‑level meeting with the Secretaries of the Security Councils of Central Asian nations and India’s National Security Advisor to bolster regional cooperation against evolving security threats.

The closed‑door session addressed critical issues such as terrorism, extremism, illegal migration, and cyber threats, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

President Japarov emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy commitment: maintaining constructive relations and peaceful coexistence with all neighboring states amid a complicated global environment.

“Transnational terrorism can only be effectively countered through joint efforts,” he affirmed. The president also outlined priority domains for collaboration: combating organized crime and drug trafficking, launching shared cybersecurity programs, and enhancing youth education to resist radicalization.

Delegates expressed strong support for deepened multilateral coordination and stressed the value of the Central Asia-India dialogue as a strategic platform for exchanging intelligence, best practices, and aligning collective security responses.
