The first Kyrgyz-Egyptian Business Forum has taken place in Cairo, bringing together Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and leading representatives of the Egyptian business community.
The landmark event was held as part of President Japarov’s official visit to Egypt, aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation and strengthening economic ties, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Madbouly highlighted that the agreements reached and signed during the forum will take relations between the two nations to a new level.
President Japarov reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s interest in developing comprehensive relations with Egypt, noting readiness to collaborate in innovation, fintech, and investment projects.
Special attention was given to transport and logistics development. President Japarov announced the start of construction on the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, a major infrastructure project expected to open new alternative trade routes linking Asia, Europe, and Africa.
He also emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s support for the ongoing free trade agreement talks between Egypt and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Concluding the forum, President Japarov invited Egyptian entrepreneurs to visit Kyrgyzstan, explore its economic potential, and participate in joint investment projects that could strengthen the bridge between Central Asia and North Africa.
