Kyrgyzstan Ratifies Air Services Deal with Hungary, Paving Way for Direct Flights

President of the Kyrgyz Republic has officially ratified the Agreement on Air Services between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of Hungary.

The agreement, initially signed on November 5, 2024, in Bishkek, was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh (the Kyrgyz parliament) on June 4, 2025, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.

The ratification marks the completion of necessary domestic procedures required for the agreement to enter into force.

The document provides a legal framework for the operation of regular direct flights between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary, covering the transportation of passengers, cargo, and mail. The agreement is expected to facilitate air connectivity and serve as a strategic step toward deepening bilateral ties.

Officials note that the opening of direct air routes will not only boost trade and tourism but also contribute to stronger economic, cultural, and people-to-people relations between the two nations.
