Kyrgyzstan to Get 15,000-Student Campus After Presidential Approval

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has signed a law ratifying the agreement between the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers and the Russian government to construct a new campus for the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin.

The law was passed by the Jogorku Kenesh (parliament) on March 18, 2026, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The agreement outlines the creation of modern educational, scientific, and social infrastructure for the university. The new campus will accommodate up to 15,000 students and is designed to support state-of-the-art learning and research facilities.

The law covers all aspects of the project, including design, financing, construction, technical supervision, and commissioning of the campus buildings.
