Director of the Consular Department of Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry, Seitek Jumakadyr uulu, has held talks with Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Mekin Mustafa Kemal Okem to discuss consular and visa matters, including measures to protect the rights and interests of citizens in both countries.
The officials also discussed potential measures to simplify visa and migration procedures to improve efficiency and convenience for Kyrgyz and Turkish nationals alike, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye share historically close cultural, linguistic, and religious ties, rooted in their Turkic heritage. Since Kyrgyzstan’s independence in 1991, Türkiye has been an important partner in political, economic, and educational cooperation. The two countries maintain strong diplomatic relations, with embassies in each other’s capitals, and collaborate within regional organizations such as the Organization of Turkic States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Türkiye is a key trade partner and investor in Kyrgyzstan, supporting infrastructure, education, and healthcare projects, while both nations work together to promote cultural exchange and strengthen people-to-people ties.
