Azerbaijan Expresses Readiness to Assist Georgia After Turkish Military Plane Crash

Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov held a telephone conversation with Georgian Interior Minister Gela Geladze regarding the recent crash of a Turkish Air Force military cargo plane in Georgia.

During the call, the two ministers discussed the unfolding situation and the coordination efforts in response to the tragedy, The Caspian Post reports, citing the ministry.

Minister Heydarov reassured his Georgian counterpart that, following the instructions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is fully prepared to support the ongoing search and rescue operation and provide any additional assistance as needed.

Minister Geladze expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan's readiness and assured that, should the need arise, an official request will be made to involve Azerbaijani emergency response teams, who are stationed at the border, standing by to assist in the operation.
