As conflict intensifies and regional transport networks grind to a halt, governments around the world are scrambling to evacuate their citizens from the Middle East.
With airspace restrictions, missile threats, and growing instability, foreign nationals are being strongly urged to leave - but options remain limited, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.
United States
The United States is working to assist Americans seeking to leave the region, including more than 1,500 people who have requested help. Authorities are arranging military aircraft and charter flights to facilitate departures.
However, Americans in Israel face “very limited options” to exit, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said, warning that the U.S. Embassy currently cannot provide direct evacuation support. President Donald Trump acknowledged that no evacuation plan was in place before the latest strikes began.
United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates announced it has opened secure air corridors with neighboring countries to help facilitate the return of its citizens and assist tourists seeking to depart.
Europe
Several European nations have launched evacuation operations. The United Kingdom is working with airlines to increase the number of emergency flights, while France organized two evacuation flights on March 3. Italy and Czech Republic have also begun arranging departures for their nationals.
