Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to travel to China for a two-day working visit, with meetings scheduled in Beijing on May 19-20.
Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said the program will be highly intensive, featuring a full agenda of political and economic talks, The Caspian Post reports via TASS.
During the visit, Putin will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, including negotiations in both narrow and expanded formats. The leaders are also expected to jointly launch cross-years of education initiatives and discuss pressing global issues in informal settings.
Additional meetings are planned with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, focusing on trade, investment and broader economic cooperation.
The visit underscores the continued strengthening of Russia-China relations, which have developed over the past 25 years since the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and are frequently described by both sides as a model of strategic partnership.
