A fresh shipment of humanitarian aid from the government and people of Tajikistan has reached war-affected residents of Gaza, underscoring Dushanbe’s continued support for civilians caught in the conflict.
A convoy of six trucks carrying essential supplies entered Gaza. The cargo included food products, warm clothing, tents, and waterproof film - urgently needed items as thousands of families struggle with displacement and harsh conditions, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
The trucks crossed into Gaza through the Rafah checkpoint on the Egypt-Palestine border, in the presence of Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Egypt and representatives of Tajik charitable organizations. The coordinated delivery highlights Tajikistan’s ongoing diplomatic and humanitarian engagement in the region.
Officials stressed that the Republic of Tajikistan has consistently provided humanitarian and financial assistance to Gaza since the start of the conflict.
Earlier, on February 6, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodjidin Mukhriddin announced at a press conference in Dushanbe that the latest aid package had been dispatched. He also recalled that in January 2025, Tajikistan, alongside several other countries, delivered humanitarian supplies to Gaza, including 200 tons of wheat flour.
Reaffirming Dushanbe’s stance, Mukhriddin emphasized that Tajikistan’s position on Gaza remains unchanged, with the country continuing to advocate for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
