As the holiday approaches, Santa Claus becomes the star of family celebrations, and hiring him for a festive performance is a popular way to create a magical atmosphere.
However, the cost of Santa's visit varies significantly across countries, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
The most expensive visits are in Turkmenistan, where prices are several times higher than in any other capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
In Tajikistan, parents can delight their children with Santa's visit for $80. Here’s a quick look at the prices across the CIS:
Belarus: $34
Azerbaijan: $80
Armenia: $55
Russia: $64
Kyrgyzstan: $40
Uzbekistan: $100
Kazakhstan: $65
Moldova: $59
The pricing is simple: the busiest and most expensive time is on the evening of December 31, when demand peaks. Ordering a visit earlier in December can save almost 50 per cent.
