Tajik Officials Study Germany’s Green Economy in OSCE-Supported Exchange Visit

From May 18 to 23, 2025, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe facilitated an exchange visit to Berlin and Munich, Germany, aimed at exploring best practices in green economy principles.

The visit provided an important opportunity for Tajik officials to exchange knowledge and enhance their capacity in supporting the country's green economy strategy, The Caspian Post reports citing OSCE.

The Tajik delegation consisted of six representatives (five male, one female) from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The primary objective of the exchange visit was to study Germany's best practices in the green economy sector. Insights gained during the visit are expected to inform the development of the Action Plan for 2026-2028, which falls under the broader Strategy for the Development of the Green Economy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2037.

During the visit, the delegation held productive meetings with representatives of the Federal Foreign Office on Climate Diplomacy and Geoeconomics, as well as with academic institutions, professional associations and universities engaged in green economy initiatives. These engagements contributed to strengthening the technical knowledge and strategic planning capabilities of Tajik officials, while also promoting international co-operation and alignment with global best practices in sustainable economic development.
