Georgia, Tajikistan Sign 11 Agreements to Deepen Cooperation Across Key Sectors

Georgia and Tajikistan have signed a series of major agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral ties during Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s first official visit to Dushanbe.

Kobakhidze held talks with Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda in both narrow and expanded formats, focusing on expanding cooperation across a wide range of sectors including trade, transport and logistics, energy, industry, agriculture, education, culture, and tourism, The Caspian Post reports via Khovar.tj.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared interest in strengthening institutional ties and boosting long-term economic cooperation.

Following the talks, the two countries signed 11 cooperation documents. These include an agreement to establish an Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, a protocol on collaboration between the foreign ministries of the two states, and several sector-specific agreements designed to expand the legal and institutional framework of their partnership.
