Tajikistan Launches DUSHANBE-TRAVEL to Promote Culture, Tourism, and Global Engagement

Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe has officially launched its new tourism website, DUSHANBE-TRAVEL, a digital initiative spearheaded by the city’s mayoralty to highlight the capital’s rich cultural heritage and tourist attractions.

The platform is designed to strengthen the local tourism sector, promote urban infrastructure, showcase Tajik culture and traditions, and draw international visitors, The Caspian Post informs via Tajik media.

The unveiling ceremony was held at IT Park Dushanbe and attended by Deputy Mayor Dilbar Odilzoda, officials from the Tourism Development Committee and the Agency for Innovations and Digital Technologies, representatives of local administrations, media, and bloggers.

DUSHANBE-TRAVEL offers an interactive map of attractions, promotional videos, photo galleries, and detailed information on tourist, cultural, and historical sites in three languages: Tajik, Russian, and English. Its main sections include Dushanbe, Events, News, and Contacts, with featured highlights such as Independence Day celebrations and the Dushanbe-2025 International Tourism Exhibition.

In addition, official pages for DUSHANBE-TRAVEL have been launched on Facebook, Instagram, VKontakte, Threads, TikTok, and Telegram to share updates on the city’s tourism offerings, cultural events, and entertainment. The Instagram account has already gained over 103,000 followers, with one-third of them international, and short videos reaching up to 1.5 million views per post and a monthly reach of about 5 million users.

Organizers emphasized that the website and its social media channels will serve as effective tools for advancing digital tourism, attracting investment, and fostering international collaboration.
