During the horse racing events marking Turkmenistan’s 34th Independence Anniversary, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a significant meeting with Eiji Hosoi, President, CEO, and Representative Director of Japan’s Toyo Engineering Corporation, who was visiting the country as part of the celebrations.
In the meeting, Mr. Hosoi extended warm Independence Day congratulations to President Berdimuhamedov and praised the contributions of both the President and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag, in fostering strong Turkmenistan-Japan relations, The Caspian Post informs via Turkmen media.
President Berdimuhamedov reflected on the steady development of bilateral ties since Turkmenistan’s independence, especially in vital sectors such as oil and gas, chemicals, and construction. He underscored the essential role of major Japanese companies like Toyo Engineering in strengthening this partnership.
Both sides reaffirmed the long-term and strategic nature of their cooperation. Key joint projects were discussed, including the polymer-producing gas-chemical complex in Kiyanly, which was constructed with Toyo Engineering’s participation.
Mr. Hosoi expressed his gratitude for the favorable business climate in Turkmenistan and confirmed Toyo Engineering’s commitment to supporting the nation’s ongoing economic progress.
Highlighting emerging opportunities amid ongoing economic reforms and industrial development, President Berdimuhamedov emphasized Turkmenistan’s readiness to consider new proposals from Toyo Engineering.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both parties confident in the continued expansion of their mutually beneficial partnership, and President Berdimuhamedov wishing Mr. Hosoi success in his future endeavors.
