Centrum Air Expands Flights from Uzbekistan to India

Uzbekistan’s largest private airline, Centrum Air, has announced the expansion of its routes to India with the start of the 2026 summer season.

Starting March 30, the carrier will launch regular direct flights on the Tashkent-Hyderabad route, operating twice a week on Airbus A320 aircraft, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Additionally, from March 29, weekly flights between Tashkent and Delhi will increase to three.

In recent years, air connectivity between Uzbekistan and India has grown significantly. Currently, the capital is linked to Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa with 17 weekly flights operated by Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, and India’s IndiGo.

The expansion of flight frequencies and new routes aims to further develop trade, investment, academic, educational, and cultural ties between the two countries.

Tourism is also seeing steady growth. In 2025, over 80,000 Indian tourists visited Uzbekistan, and the new flights in 2026 are expected to significantly increase the number of travelers from India, elevating tourism exchange to a new level.
