During the visit of the Uzbekistan delegation to Hungary, and after the meeting of the Uzbekistan-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, a roundtable discussion was organized in Budapest with the support of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA).
The event brought together representatives of relevant ministries, agencies, and business communities of both countries, as well as executives of leading companies interested in developing mutually beneficial cooperation in the industrial, agricultural, investment, innovation, and scientific-educational sectors, The Caspian Post reports citing UzA.
At the meeting, the Hungarian side presented several promising projects and developments aimed at expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan. Proposals were discussed in areas including vacuum packaging, biological waste processing, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, medical technologies, water conservation, mechanical engineering, and investment management.
The Uzbekistan delegation expressed its interest in establishing direct contacts with Hungarian companies, localizing production, introducing modern technologies, and creating joint ventures.
Particular attention was given to the proposed concept of the Uzbekistan - Hungary Special Industrial Zone, which is expected to become a new platform for deepening technological partnership and attracting mutual investment.
