Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has toured the site of a new international tourist complex in Bostanlyk District of Tashkent Region, a rapidly developing area known for its growing recreational infrastructure.
The region already hosts major facilities including “Amirsay,” “Chinarkent,” and “Charvak Gates,” complemented by modern hotels, leisure zones, and dining establishments, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The new all-season “Chimgan” resort, being developed in partnership with French company MND, aims to further elevate the area’s tourism profile.
Spanning 1,278 hectares, the project includes hotels and a cable car capable of transporting tourists to 3,300 meters above sea level, enabling year-round activities such as skiing and snowboarding in winter, and mountaineering, hiking, and other outdoor pursuits in warmer months.
During his visit, President Mirziyoyev inspected the resort’s facilities, including hotels, restaurants, and retail areas. A six-story hotel will accommodate 320 guests and serve up to 45,000 visitors annually, managed in partnership with the international Wyndham brand. In addition, five- and seven-story apartment hotels, a seven-story hotel, a two-story restaurant, and six chalet-style houses are under construction, collectively expected to host over 54,000 tourists per year and create more than 100 jobs.
The complex also features a 300-space parking facility with ground-floor amenities including a restaurant, children’s playground, and retail spaces, offering visitors convenience and a wide range of services.
President Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of modern construction techniques, professional service management, training skilled personnel, and promoting Bostanlyk on international tourism platforms.
The resort is expected to generate thousands of jobs, provide stable income for local residents, and attract both domestic and international tourists. The development is closely linked to broader economic growth, including improvements to commercial facilities and traffic infrastructure. The project incorporates a 1,450-meter vehicular tunnel, two bridges, and pedestrian pathways, significantly reducing travel time to mountain resorts, enhancing safety, and allowing over 500 vehicles per hour to access the complex.
Special attention will also be given to environmental protection and fostering an eco-friendly tourism culture. Such initiatives are set to provide world-class conditions for tourists while strengthening Uzbekistan’s investment appeal and cultural significance.
Today, Bostanlyk is emerging as one of Uzbekistan’s most dynamic tourism centers, where natural beauty harmoniously coexists with modern facilities and high service standards.
