Tanzila Narbayeva, the Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis, met with U.S. Congresswoman Carol Miller.
During the conversation, the parties discussed large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan, positive transformations in state and societal life, and the prospects for further advancing strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States, The Caspian Post reports citing Uzbek media.
The meeting also addressed promising areas for expanding trade and economic interaction, exchange of agricultural experience, and implementation of investment projects. Furthermore, an exchange of views took place on strengthening collaboration in energy, education, healthcare, women’s rights, and gender equality.
The sides emphasized the significant role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations, discussing matters related to establishing friendship groups, and developing interregional dialogues.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached to further develop interparliamentary cooperation and reinforce bilateral ties.
