Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks with Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Mohamed Farid Saleh, focusing on practical measures to deepen economic engagement and unlock new avenues for business collaboration, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.

The discussions centered on increasing bilateral trade, expanding investment flows, strengthening industrial partnerships, and improving transport and logistics links between the two nations. Both sides also explored opportunities within free economic zones and discussed launching joint manufacturing projects aimed at serving regional and international markets.

A key theme of the talks was cooperation beyond traditional bilateral trade. Officials examined strategies for entering third-country markets together, signaling growing ambitions to build a broader economic partnership with regional reach.

Five sectors emerged as priorities for future collaboration: geology, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, energy, and industry.
