A high-level delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ferghana Region, led by regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov, conducted a series of business meetings in Germany this week as part of an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Berlin hosted the primary round of discussions, where the delegation met with leading representatives from the German business community, including executives from Stein & Partners Rechtsanwälte mbB and other notable German firms, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The meetings focused on expanding economic cooperation, initiating joint investment ventures, and deepening trade relations between regional players in both countries. Governor Bozorov presented a comprehensive overview of Uzbekistan’s improving investment climate, highlighting government incentives for foreign investors and the strategic advantages of doing business in the Ferghana Region.
Key sectors identified for potential collaboration included agriculture, electrical engineering, IT, pharmaceuticals, and mechanical engineering. These areas were highlighted as particularly promising for foreign direct investment and technological partnerships.
Preliminary agreements were reached on the launch of several investment projects in the targeted sectors. Governor Bozorov urged German businessmen to take an active role in these initiatives and reaffirmed readiness to support mutually beneficial cooperation.
