Fergana Trade House Opens in Kuala Lumpur

The Fergana Region officially inaugurated its Trade House in Kuala Lumpur, marking a significant step in expanding Uzbekistan’s commercial presence in Southeast Asia. The facility was established with the support of Malaysia’s KK Group and will serve as a platform for promoting Fergana-made products in the Malaysian market.

Guests at the opening ceremony explored a wide range of goods produced in Fergana, including agricultural products and consumer goods. The venue has hosted a permanent exhibition of the region’s products since February, showcasing the export potential of one of Uzbekistan’s most dynamic regions.

Speaking at the event, Bozorov thanked Malaysian partners for their support in establishing the trade representation office. He noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Malaysia have reached a new level in recent years, with economic cooperation steadily gaining momentum. Bozorov said that growing trade ties with Fergana have created a solid foundation for future investment projects and long-term business partnerships.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Karomidin Gadoev, highlighted the strong upward trajectory of bilateral relations, emphasizing that practical initiatives such as the opening of the Trade House help strengthen trust and deepen economic cooperation between the two countries.

KK Group Chairman Chai Kee Kan underscored the importance of expanding collaboration with Uzbekistan across economic and other sectors. He noted the increasing intensity of business ties with Fergana Region and expressed confidence that cooperation would reach new heights in the near future.

Particular attention was given to the strong demand among Malaysian consumers for Fergana’s fresh fruit exports, including cherries, apricots and peaches. Both sides announced plans to broaden the Trade House’s product range and further strengthen trade and investment cooperation in the years ahead.
