Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries has inaugurated a large-scale logistics center in Tashkent’s Sergeli district, a significant step in strengthening its supply chain footprint in Uzbekistan.
The new facility covers 53,000 square meters across two units and is designed to process up to 500,000 orders per day. It is estimated to create around 500 jobs for local residents. Supplier deliveries to the hub began on October 13, 2025, marking the commencement of operations, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
At present, the warehouse accommodates vehicles with side heights exceeding 90 cm. Plans are underway to open additional gates for lower-sided vehicles, expanding access for more suppliers.
“This is a key development for Wildberries in Uzbekistan,” said Akmal Primkulov, Wildberries’ Director for Uzbekistan. “The new logistics hub will not only speed up delivery for customers, but also support local producers, strengthen export capacity, and create jobs.”
For Uzbek entrepreneurs, the facility offers a strategic advantage: sellers can now store goods directly in the Wildberries warehouse, from which the company will handle order processing and shipping. This arrangement promises reduced logistics times, greater convenience for buyers, and streamlined operations for businesses.
With the new warehouse in Sergeli, Wildberries now operates two logistics facilities in Uzbekistan-alongside an existing sorting center on Farg‘ona Yuli Street in Tashkent. This expansion reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing e-commerce infrastructure and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in the country.
