Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said that Armenia is ready to study Russia’s experience in countering hybrid threats-if Moscow is willing to share it.
Speaking at a briefing, Mirzoyan noted that Armenia remains open to cooperation with all partners on security issues, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
“If the Russian Federation has its own experience in combating hybrid threats and is ready to share it, we do not object. Let them share it, and we will see what that experience is,” he stated.
At the same time, the minister noted that the European Union has “many years of experience” in this area, which is why Armenia has engaged with European partners ahead of its parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7.
Mirzoyan confirmed that Yerevan has requested Brussels to deploy a “rapid response group” to help prevent external interference during the vote. Armenian authorities emphasized that cooperation with the EU is not directed against Russia.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said Moscow is also ready to send experts to assist with election preparations if needed, highlighting potential parallel cooperation channels.
