A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck western Georgia on June 23 early morning, causing tremors that were felt across the area and prompting local authorities to monitor the situation closely.

The earthquake was recorded at 08:07 (GMT+4) near the village of Khonchiori in western Georgia. The quake's epicenter was located at a depth of approximately 20 kilometers beneath the surface, The Caspian Post reports via Jnews.
