Georgia's traditional sauces are gaining momentum in international markets, with Russia remaining the largest importer so far this year.
Since the beginning of 2026, Russia has imported 224 tons of Georgian sauces. Among the most sought-after products are adjika, tkemali, as well as tomato and pomegranate sauces, The Caspian Post reports via Sputnik Georgia.
Georgian sauces are also enjoying strong demand in the European Union, the United States, Azerbaijan, and Israel, reflecting the growing global appeal of the country's culinary exports.
In June 2026 alone, Georgia exported 188 tons of traditional sauces worth 490,000 lari. Compared with the same month last year, export volume increased by 65%, while the value of shipments rose by 59%, highlighting the rapid expansion of the sector.
