Kazakh Leader Signs Decree Removing Kanat Sharlapaev from Key Economic Role

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has issued a decree relieving Kanat Sharlapaev from his position as Assistant to the President on Economic Affairs.

Born in 1981, Sharlapaev graduated from Saratov Socio-Economic University and the Cranfield School of Management in the United Kingdom. He began his professional journey in the banking sector in 2003, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

In 2023, Sharlapaev was appointed Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan. During the same year, he was also elected to the Board of Directors of Baiterek National Management Holding.
