Kazakhstan, Belarus Set to Sign $38.6M in Deals to Boost Industrial Cooperation

Kazakhstan and Belarus are set to sign 10 agreements worth $38.6 million as part of the fifth session of the Kazakhstan-Belarus Business Council taking place in the Kazakh capital.

The deals aim to strengthen trade and industrial cooperation between the two nations, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Murat Karimssakov, chairman of the Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce, said that most of the joint productions will be localized in Kazakhstan. Key areas of collaboration include chemical industry development, industrial cooperation, cable and wire manufacturing, and agricultural machinery projects.

Belarusian companies have invested over $1.3 billion in Kazakhstan over the past 20 years, including $17.5 million in the first half of 2025, a 32.6 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, Kazakh companies have invested $106.1 million in Belarus since 2005 through the first quarter of 2025.

Mikhail Myatlikov, chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce, noted that a total of 21 deals and contracts worth up to $160 million are expected during the Belarusian prime minister’s visit to Kazakhstan.

Bilateral trade between the countries exceeded $612.2 million from January to July 2025, up 14.5 per cent compared to the same period in 2024. Kazakhstan’s exports to Belarus jumped 48 per cent to $158 million, while imports rose 5.9 per cent to $455 million.

Over 900 Belarusian companies currently operate in Kazakhstan. Major participants in the business council include MAZ, LIPLAST-SPb, Sifania-Ecotechnika, and Beltelekabel from Belarus, and AgromashHolding KZ, Prodcorporation, Kazakhstan Farmers Association, and KAIK LLP from Kazakhstan.
