Kazakhstan Secures Fourth Medal at Rhine-Ruhr 2025 University Games

Kazakhstan has added its fourth medal to the tally at the 2025 FISU World University Games, currently taking place in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.

Taekwondo athlete Tamirlan Tleules secured a bronze medal in the men’s 58 kg category after a hard-fought semi-final match, falling 0-2 to Ukraine’s athlete Maksym Manenkov, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

This latest success brings Kazakhstan’s overall medal count to four at the Games. Earlier, fellow taekwondo athletes Damir Shulenov and Nodira Akhmedova each earned bronze medals, while Aibola Yertaikyzy contributed to the nation’s haul with a bronze in women’s rhythmic gymnastics.

Kazakhstan’s athletes continue demonstrating strong performances across multiple disciplines as the competition progress.
