Kazakh Deputy Minister of Industry and Construction Rakhymzhan Isakulov has said that for the first time, the Turkic Creative Economy Forum will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in 2026.
Isakulov made these remarks during the 2nd Meeting of Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Baku, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
He noted that the upcoming forum will become a major regional platform aimed at strengthening cooperation among Turkic nations in the creative industries, promoting innovation, and fostering youth entrepreneurship.
“Kazakhstan also hosts the annual Digital Bridge technology festival, which brings together more than 30 countries, including members of the Organization of Turkic States,” Isakulov said. “These platforms can become common spaces for young people, startups, and experience exchange.”
The deputy minister added that discussions are also underway on the establishment of a common Turkic patent organization, which would be a significant step toward developing cooperation in the field of high technologies and intellectual property protection.
The proposed patent body is expected to help strengthen technological ties, attract foreign investment, and enhance the global competitiveness of Turkic-speaking countries.
The Turkic Creative Economy Forum will serve as a venue for artists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to exchange ideas and showcase projects that reflect the growing creative potential of the Turkic world.
