On the final competition day of the Grand Slam tournament in Astana on May 11, Kazakhstan won two awards, The Caspian Post reported citing the Zakon.kz.
As noted by the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Marat Baykamurov and Bakzhan Baitas climbed to the third step of the podium. Both athletes showed themselves in the weight category up to 100 kilograms.
"Baykamurov won the fight for third place against Karamnob Sagaipov (Lebanon). Baytas entered the Grand Slam prize-winners without a fight - his opponent withdrew from the tournament," the statement said.
Today, May 11, Yerasyl Kazybaev will compete in the final of the over 100 kilogram category.
