Russia's Su-35 Fighter Jets Guard Kazakh President During Moscow Trip

Ahead of his historic state visit to Russia on November 11-12, 2025, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s aircraft was escorted by Russian fighter jets through Russian airspace.

Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets of the Russian Ministry of Defense escorted President Tokayev’s aircraft through Russian airspace from the border to Moscow airport, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

Ahead of the visit, Tokayev published an article in Rossiyskaya Gazeta titled “Eternal friendship is a guiding star for our peoples”, emphasizing the strong ties between Kazakhstan and Russia. A key highlight of the visit will be the signing of the Declaration on the Transition of Relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Alliance, marking a new era in bilateral cooperation.
