US Envoys Arrive in Kazakhstan to Boost Bilateral Ties

US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau have arrived at Kazakhstan’s Akorda Residence.

Their visit, which began on October 28, includes a series of high-level meetings focused on strengthening Kazakhstan-US relations and discussing key regional and international issues, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Since Kazakhstan gained independence in 1991, the US and Kazakhstan have developed a strong partnership across political, economic, and security spheres. The US has supported Kazakhstan’s efforts in nuclear nonproliferation, democratic reforms, and regional stability, while both countries have expanded cooperation in trade, energy, technology, and education. Kazakhstan is a key partner in Central Asia for the US, serving as a hub for regional security initiatives, counterterrorism, and economic development programs. Over the years, high-level visits and strategic dialogues have strengthened mutual trust and laid the groundwork for long-term collaboration.
