Kazakh President Meets With US Officials to Boost Bilateral Ties Before C5+1 Summit

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau at the Akorda Residence to discuss strengthening the Kazakh-American expanded partnership ahead of the upcoming C5+1 Summit in Washington, D.C.

Tokayev expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump for the invitation to participate in the summit, noting that the high-level event will help define key priorities for long-term cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

He reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening trade, economic, and investment ties with the United States, adding that Astana supports the foreign and domestic policies pursued by the US President and values his contribution to global peace and security.

Tokayev also underscored the growing role of Central Asia in international affairs, highlighting the region’s unity, good-neighborliness, and shared progress.

Earlier, it was reported that the US delegation arrived at Akorda as part of preparations for the C5+1 Summit.
