The National Agency for Investment under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced that Bishkek recently hosted the Kyrgyz-Mongolian Business Forum, a key event focused on strengthening economic and investment ties between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia.
During the forum, Damirbek Bikulov, Deputy Director of the agency, highlighted encouraging trends in trade and economic collaboration, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
He stressed Kyrgyzstan’s eagerness to deepen partnerships with Mongolia in sectors such as agro-industry, logistics, tourism, and mining.
Bikulov detailed Kyrgyzstan’s competitive investment advantages, including membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) with access to over 180 million consumers, participation in the EU’s GSP+ program permitting duty-free exports of over 6,000 product categories, one of the region’s lowest tax regimes, affordable energy supplies, visa-free entry for citizens of 61 countries, and a mature public-private partnership framework.
“These conditions create an attractive environment for investors and unlock new opportunities for joint projects,” he stated.
He expressed confidence that the forum would catalyze further sustainable economic cooperation between the two nations.
The event was jointly organized by the National Agency for Investment and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.
