Kyrgyzstan Teams Up With South Korea to Build Modern National Nursery Network

Kyrgyzstan is launching a nationwide system of modern plant nurseries in partnership with South Korea.

As part of the initiative, new high-tech nurseries and greenhouses will be built across the country, producing both deciduous and coniferous seedlings adapted to local climate conditions, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

The project also provides training for Kyrgyz forestry specialists in Korea, along with capacity-building programs at home.

The nurseries will supply regions with high-quality seedlings, boost the national Zhashyl Muras (Green Legacy) campaign, and significantly expand the country’s ability to develop artificial forests.

The plan includes establishing three major forest nurseries and planting forests on 300 hectares of State Forest Fund land - marking a major step toward greener, more climate-resilient landscapes in Kyrgyzstan.
