Pakistan Plans to Expand Trade Cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have attended the Kyrgyzstan-Pakistan Investment Dialogue in Islamabad, where business leaders explored opportunities to expand trade, investment, and joint ventures in sectors including healthcare, education, IT, tourism, and mining.

Around 80 company representatives participated, signaling potential growth in bilateral economic cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan maintain friendly diplomatic and economic relations since establishing ties in 1992. The two countries cooperate in trade, investment, education, and cultural exchange. Pakistan has supported regional connectivity projects in Central Asia, while Kyrgyzstan seeks to attract Pakistani investment in sectors such as energy, agriculture, and tourism. Both nations participate in forums and dialogues to strengthen bilateral trade, enhance transport links, and promote people-to-people contacts.
