President Sadyr Japarov got acquainted with the progress of construction of a plant for the electricity production based on the processing of solid municipal waste, press secretary of the President Askat Alagozov said, The Caspian Post reported citing the AkiPress.
The construction of the plant will be completed in December 2025.
The head of state was told that the implementation of this project will solve the problem of waste processing and ensure additional electricity generation.
According to the mayor's office of Bishkek, this project will be first in the Central Asian region. The plant will process 1,000 tons of waste per day, and its capacity will be 30 MW/h of electricity. In the future, it is planned to increase the processed volume to 3,000 tons per day.
Sadyr Japarov spoke about the need for strict adherence to construction deadlines, the quality of work and environmental safety requirements, noting that the implementation of this project will be an important step towards the sustainable development of the capital and improving the environmental situation in the city.
