Russian drones struck Ukraine’s Odesa region, causing fires, damaging civilian buildings, and injuring one person.
Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said private homes were damaged or destroyed, and a furniture warehouse was completely burned, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.
A 50-year-old man sustained a leg injury and was hospitalized. Emergency responders quickly brought the fires under control.
Chornomorsk was also targeted, according to Mayor Vasyl Huliaiev, with private houses damaged and civilian infrastructure affected. The State Emergency Service confirmed that two residential buildings caught fire, several other homes were damaged, and a warehouse was destroyed. Photos released by authorities show burned and collapsed structures.
The Odesa region has faced near-daily Russian drone strikes in recent weeks, with repeated damage to residential buildings and energy infrastructure, causing power outages and civilian injuries. Authorities continue damage assessments and say further updates will follow.
